The fountain at Torquay's sea front gardens The English Riviera is the name for the general area of Torbay that includes the three main towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Torquay Marina Ray says "Also within easy walking distance are many attractions - At St Marychurch there is the Bygones Victorian Museum, the world famous Model Village, and a delightful precint of small, friendly shops and pubs. Babbacombe Downs is a beautiful clifftop setting and also leads to the world famous Oddicombe Cliff Railway and the small but popular Babbacombe Theatre. Just slightly further afield is the incredible Kents Cavern. You can even take a gentle stroll along the main promenade at Torquay and wander across to the marina to look at the boats. Babbacombe Guest House has recently undergone full refurbishment with most rooms being en-suite as well as having digital flat screen TVs with Freeview channels. It is as a result of this work the English Tourism Board awarded them a 4 Star rating in the Guest House category.

They even provide an onward delivery service for hikers so that their luggage arrives at the next hotel in time for the hikers arrival. The latest facility is their new bar now that they have successfully become a licensed premise.
