How far are you from Oddicombe and Babbacombe beaches? PDF Print E-mail
Babbacombe Guest House is just a few minutes walk from Babbacombe Downs which overlooks Oddicombe and Babbacombe beaches. To get to the beaches there is an access road, which is quite windy and reasonably steep, or alternatively you can take the Cliff Railway. (more details in the 'Local Attractions ' section of our site)

Are you very far from Torquay railway station? PDF Print E-mail

This depends on your definition of not far, how much luggage you have, and the time of year! Some of our walkers and hikers enjoy the walk from the station to Babbacombe Guest House but in general terms we suggest that you telephone us a little bit before you arrive at Torquay station and we will come and pick you up.

Do the rooms have a television? PDF Print E-mail

Yes - All of our rooms at Babbacombe Guest House are equipped with flat screen television with Freeview channels included! We also provide tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, radio/alarm clock and towels. If you need anything else then please ask us and we will try to meet your needs.

Are breakfast times flexible? PDF Print E-mail

Absolutely.  All we ask is that you give us reasonable notice (the day before) so that we can accommodate your needs. We want you to enjoy your stay with us and become one of our regular customers at Babbacombe Guest House Laughing

Can we come and go as we please? PDF Print E-mail
Of course you can. Upon arrival you will be given a key to the front door. All we ask is that if you are returning late at night (or early morning) please be considerate of other guests who may be sleeping.

Do you cater for children? PDF Print E-mail
We do cater for children and this is why our family room is so popular. All ages are welcome at Babbacombe Guest House and we do supply a travel cot for babies plus bedding, highchair and baby monitor. This saves you filling the car with unnecesary luggage.

What are the local attractions? PDF Print E-mail

This depends on you definition of local and, of course, the sort of things that you would consider an 'attraction'. Within short walking distance are the Babbacombe Theatre, Babbacombe Model Village, St Marychurch Bygones Victorian Museum and the Babbacombe Cliff Railway. For details of these and other attractions please checkout our section - Local Attractions

Is there anywhere local to eat? PDF Print E-mail

Yes. There is good selection of eating places within walking distance of Babbacombe Guest House. To name just a few of the numerous public houses that serve meals there is The Old Coach House, Babbacombe Inn, and The Royal. There are also two Indian restaurants just 5 minutes walk away from us.

If it is take away meals you're looking for there are several places along the Babbacombe Road, including the award winning Drakes Fish & Chips (who also have an eat in restaurant). If you have a car then there are many alternative selections available all within a 20 minute drive of Babbacombe Guest House.

Do you have car parking available? PDF Print E-mail
Babbacombe Guest House does have it's own limited car parking facilities. This is a premium in Torquay as many guest houses do not have off-road parking and parking on the street can be quite restrictive, especially with the council's army of traffic wardens! The other options in and around Torbay are the local council's Pay & Display car parks and street spaces.
